ARI MEI-DAN

ari is an israeli-american photographer and filmmaker who began her career by complete accident. what started as a hobby took a turn when ari brought a cheap camera to a show — and she has since never looked back. now her focuses are largely on documentaries, music-based media, and identity-rooted work across both photography and video.

time and time again, ari has been consistently drawn to capturing the most human moments ever. what makes people people? what makes a community? no two stories are the same, and to bring a single one to life is so much fun.

currently, she is in her 4th and final year of pursuing a BA in film production at emerson college, with a concentration in post-production and a minor in political science. in all of her work, she draws from her experiences as an immigrant — having lived in 5 countries — as well as her experiences as a musician.

ari is available for commission and hire in the greater boston area. for business inquiries, you can reach her through email, instagram, or by filling out this form.
